Did you know the world's oldest intact shark fossil (409 million years old) was found in New Brunswick, Canada!  This specimen is currently on display at The New Brunswick Museum. 

Of the approximately 370 shark species on earth, 19 are found in Canadian waters, including; the Great White, Mako, Blue, Hammerhead, Tiger, Oceanic Whitetip and Basking Shark! The Basking Shark is the second largest fish in the world - next to the Whale Shark! Most sharks naturally lose 1,000 teeth per year, with a new tooth replacing the old one within 24 hours!
